Bhavesh Hingar Birhday Celebrated

After Mahavir Jayanti, A grand Party.
This was much needed to boost morale and to give members a applause for such a nice work on Mahavir Jayanti.

Bhavesh Hingar's Bithday was celebrated on 23rd April, 2013 with Party at Mc Donalds.

 

Bhakti on 25th March, 2013

On the occasion of "Teras Feri" Thane Jain Yuva Group had organised bhakti at Vartak Nagar Jain Mandir on 25th March, 2013.

Chiraj Intodia's Birhday Celebrated

United Garba

Once again all Jains of Thane united to organize united Garba Dance on 20th, October, 2012. This is third of its kind program organised by TJYG earlier programs being Mahavir Jayanti and Pratikaman.

Personality Development lecture

A personality development lecture was kept at Nirmala Niketan hall, near Vartak Nagar on 13th October, 2012.

"SharmanJi" gave lecture on how to live life with positive way and always be cheerful and happy.
They were of the opinion that in order to have power in life we should follow POWER

W - Will
E - Energy
R - Right Attitude

Grand party was given by Arvindji Hingad on 8th October, 2012 on Occasion on his daugter's First Birthday.

Ashish Badala Birthday Celebrated

Ashish Badala, a member of Thane Jain Yuva group gave party on occasion of his 22nd birthday. All Enjoyed the party with dance, jokes, play, food....

Full party room was decorated with balloons by his sister, sandhya and friends. There were about 32 members present at the party.

A new tradition started at the party "No Gifts". As suggested by some members that we should do away with the tradition of birthday gifts, this suggestion was accepted and got started from Ashish's Birthday.

Rohit Mehta's 11 Upvas

Rohit Mehta, Member of Thane Jain Yuva Group did 11 Upvas during 2012 Chomasa and broke the record of maximum upvas (8) hold by Mahavir Chajed  as posted on this page.

An astonishing 11 Upvas by Rohit is really commendable.

Shapur Trip, 2012

Shahapur Trip was organised by Pawan Ostwal on 9th September, 2012 as posted in previous article.

No of Members Present : 62

This trip was a united efforts of all the members and this made this event super successful. All enjoyed to the fullest extent as there was a mix of bhakti, enjoyment, games, Getting wet in rain....

United pratikraman organised

Objective of the group being to unite all the jains living in thane and thereby abolishing panth system, we all have kept pratikaman for all the panth together at nirmala niketan hall.

For thoes who don't know what pratikraman is

"Pratikraman (literally Sanskrit "introspection"), is a process of repentance of sins (prayaschit) during which Jains repent for their wrongdoings during their daily life, and remind themselves to refrain from doing so again. Devout Jains often do Pratikraman at least twice a day. In same one practices self-observation and emphasize the necessity of self-effort to move the soul towards divine consciousness and liberation"

For those who don't know what panth is,

Panth is division of followers of Mahavir Swami. When the Jain religion started it was one united system. Then in 360 BC (Around 160 years after Mahavir's Nirvana) there was a split into two Sects - Digambar and Svetambar then in 1474 AD Svetambar splited to form two panths - Sthankvasi and Mandirmargi (Also still called Svetambar). Then again in 1760 AD some saints splited from Sthankvasi to form a new panth called "Terapanth". So now exists 3 panths

> Sthankvasi (Barapanthi)

> Terapanth

So after knowing what all this panth is all about, we (The Thane Jain Yuva Group) attempted to unite ALL, by having a common pratikraman at nirmala Niketan hall at Vartak Nagar. This event was attended by families of all the panths. Thus marking a success of having a united pratikraman.

Gaimukh Temple visit

Thane Jain Yuva Group had organized trip to Gaimukh temple on Ghodbunder Road. This trip was kept in a view to increase friendship between members and to have a small outing in rainy season. Gaimukh temple is Lord Shva temple located on Ghodbunder Road after Suraj Water park, opposite upcoming lodha complex.

All the TJYG members were invited, out of which only 19 members turned up of the short but refreshing trip. The main reason for small nos. was Schools and Colleges had started and many had some or the other exams.

The trip was very enjoying as we all played "Pakdapakdi", "Langdi", "Kho-kho", "Damsharas" then had some snacks. As we reached Gaimukh, there was a shooting of movie going on, this made this outing more fun. There were short showers of rain while playing games and we all enjoyed that too. To conclude this trip was SUPERB.

Celebrated "Ajits's Mom And Dad 25th Aniversary"

A member of Thane Jain Yuva Group - Ajit Ostwal invited all members to his Parent's 25th aniversary on 19th June, 2012.

Thane Jain Yuva group was invited to the movie of Yugraj Jain "Ab toh Sambhal"

We all enjoyed the movie all members promised not to indulge in any activity which will spoil Name of their parents. This movie was very emotional and made many of CRY.

Birthday Celebration of "Mayur Chandalia"

Mayur Chandalia, a member of Thane Jain Yuva Group invited all members to his 22nd birthday party at his house on 20th May, 2012.

We all contributed and bought him a gift. There was dance, plays, Games at the party and as usual all enjoyed the party.

Birthday celebration of Paurush aka "Prince"

Prince, a member of Thane Jain Yuva Group invited all members to his 23rd birthday party at his house on 6th May, 2012.

We all contributed and bought him a gift. There was dance, plays, Games at the party and as usual all enjoyed the party. This was the first birthday party with all the member friends.

Thane Jain Yuva Group was invited to perform at the JCF's get-together organised on 22nd April, 2012 on Sunday.

JCF is Jain Chartered Accountants Federation, an associate of JITO.

Mahavir Jayanti Celebrated

I have no other words than "SUPERB". Mahavir Jayanti was celebrated with full enthusiasm, unity and Zeal.

On the Day of Mahavir Jayanti i.e 5th April, 2012, a rally has been organized. This rally will start from Indira Nagar at 7:30 AM and will end at Nirmala Niketan, Vartak Nagar Naka, Thane (W).

Dress code : Complete White (Except married women - for them preferably Red or Maroon).

Due to initiative of  "Thane Jain Yuva Group", we shall celebrate Mahavir Jayanti all united and there shall be a Maha Rally on 5th April, 2012.

This is what bhagvan Mahavir would have wanted - A united Jain Event celebrating his Birth Day.

I take this as an opportunity to give you a short description of Mahavir Jayanti.

"Mahavira was born into royalty as the son of King Siddhartha and Queen Trishala. During pregnancy, Trishala was believed to have had a number of auspicious dreams, all signifying the coming of a great leader.
